Minima now has Shape Mirrors by Bower. They are composed of multiple pieces of glass mirror of varying tints and shapes that together create optical illusions of three dimensional shapes. The designs are defined by a natural tendency to traverse conventional standards through an emphasis on essential forms. Each mirror is framed with a line of thin solid wood. Shape mirrors extend beyond everyday function, crossing into the realm of aesthetic value in its own right, while at the same time allowing you to check your makeup.

by Minima, 05.27.2017From ElleDecor's Hipster and Historian's Guide to Philadelphia: "At Minima, a three-story showroom in an 1850s manufacturing facility down the street from Betsy Ross and Benjamin Franklin’s homes, Eugenie Perret curates a collection of modern home furnishings and accessories by family-owned European companies, from Minotti to Walter Knoll. A one-of-a-kind piece that’s currently on offer: Jacopo Foggini’s sea-green Ella chair for Edra, which features a variegated hand-poured polycarbonate seat over a black Saarinen-inspired pedestal."

Glass Masters
by Minima, 04.01.2017We just installed a brand new blown glass chandelier from Bocci. Utilizing vacuum pressure and super-hot glass, hot patches of glass become scenes of controlled implosion. The result is a stunning, and wholly unique, distorted sphere with an interior landscape of satellite shapes.
Welkom Polder!
by Minima, 03.17.2017In the home country of Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, the word 'polder' refers to low-lying flatlands, typically subdivided into fields serving various agricultural purposes, that have been reclaimed from the sea by means of dykes and drainage canals. With their flat surfaces, low-slung body and horizontal emphasis, both Polder sofas evoke the characteristic features of the polder landscape.
Marbling Over Tables
by Minima, 02.02.2017New from Walter Knoll, the Oki Table showcases the natural beauty of marble juxtaposed with thin "planes" of white space formed by the base. Marble stands for strength and stability like hardly any other material. The Oki Table brings this beauty created by elemental forces into the home. Large slabs of natural stone seem to float over the delicate framework. The organic markings criss-cross the table top. Like branches, flowing and effective. An abstract painting of white strands, a still sculpture – reserved, elegant and powerful at the same time. A real treasure: the variant made of crystalline, white onyx marble. Every table is unique.
